Cheap travel to bangkok

I would like to recommend the following trip to bangkok via train for my reader , please try it as it will not cost you very much and the experiences is fulfilling.Maybe some of you are not aware that there is a daily train trip from penang to bangkok which will take around 24hours of train journey. The train journey will take you through HATYAI , SURATTHANI , HUE HIN and most major cities in thailand. You can see all of south and central thailand at one go which is very interesting. The train will arrive at HUA LAMPHONG train station , Bangkok .

Train ticket cost
previously it only cost you RM85 but if i'm not mistaken they had increase the price to RM125 per trip

where to buy
Just go to any KTM counter and ask for the EKSPRESS ANTARABANGSA from Butterworth,Penang to Bangkok.Train depart daily at 2pm

where to sleep
there are a lot of cheap accomodation in bangkok especially in the KHAO SAN area .But if you want a cheap and clean accomodation right in the center of bangkok and close to the BTS Train station , choose KRIT THAI MANSION ( Strategically located in front of MBK shopping complex and around 400m to PARAGON.It will cost you around RM 110 for a double bed room.

around bangkok
Buy the BTS daily pass which give you unlimited access to the LRT.A Three day pass will cost you around RM 30 while a daily pass will cost you RM 12.Using BTS will cover most of the interesting sight in center bangkok

Cost of food in bangkok is very cheap. For non muslim , i believe there will be no hassle , for muslim a cheap halal food is located inside the MBK food court (at the top floor).A generous serving of nasi briyani will cost you around RM 5 only. For a wide variety of HALAL food .Go to NANA street which is located 2 station away from your hotel. The is also halal food at the PARAGON food court at basement.

In total
3 night hotel cost(shared basis) = RM155
return tran includes tax = RM 250
3 days BTS pass = RM 30
Food = RM 70

total basic cost = RM 505

Other sight to see in bangkok if you have budget
Grand palace , Underwater world, floating market at Dam Nuern Sabduak,Menam chao phraya river cruise , safari world , thai kick boxing , Chatutchak weekend market , Suan Lum night market , Paragon food court , Wat Aru

therefore with RM 505 you will find yourself in bangkok via a train. And you can tell a story about your adventure riding the train and i will sure your friend who had been to bangkok before via flight will be jealous and tempted to try it also.
Happy travelling , will post about my trip to bangkok via train very2 soon.
