Child beggar

It really broke my heart to see a child begging for food and money in a pasar malam near my house last week . From the physique i guess that he's around 3-4 years old. What does this child had done to deserve this kind of punishment . I had stopped and watch this child for a while as he patiently holds up his arms begging for a spare change. He just sat there quitely without moving an inch , this was not a normal behaviour for a 3-4 year old . My daughter won't last a minute sitting quitely in one postion .

Not far from where he was sitting , sat another beggar and i guess this must be his parent as i could see sometimes he would empty his pocket to them. I took up 5 ringgit from my pocket and gave the child as a sedekah although knowing for the fact that this was not the right things to do as the money will go directly to the parent or worst still a syndicate which will eventually feeds their greed in recruiting more child beggar. What sadden me the most was the cheerful cute little face which was normally associated with small children was no more.
I walk back slowly to my car and drive to a comfort place which i call home. JR had been waiting anxiously inside the house for her mum and dad and run with a big smile at the sight of us walking as if she hadn't see us for the year . It was really a kodak moment , the joy of seeing your own daughter in this way is priceless . I hugged her tightly with the memory of the child beggar clearly imprint at the back of my mind.

  3. Kalau jumpa diorang ni mesti selalu berbelah bagi nak beri atau tak bila terfikir sama ada diorang ni work for syndicate or not..

  4. Definitely not a pleasant sight to see child beggars doing their rounds. I guess people will be more warm towards them than adults begging. I've been to Petaling St lately on several visits and beggars are quite a common sight.

  6. Selain child beggars, theres also school going children let loose by certain organizations to collect donations. they're always seen loitering about at petrol stations & malls and yg sedihnya, being students, masa bilanya diorang nak focus on their studies?

Nilai apa yg hendak diterapkan pd bebudak ni sebenarnya, akak pun kekadang confuse. just dont use & abuse children la :(

  8. Sometimes it is difficult to fathom as these children often belong to syndocates which target spots where tourist gather.
