Train ride from bangkok to chiang mai

I had travel extensively all over thailand via train previously but unfortunately most of it was done before blogging exist.Previously i do not document my travel and photography was at a minimum as to develop a photo is quite expensive .I really dreaded not documenting my travel as i had forgotted all the fine detail of my travel.

 

Due to shortage of time i took a morning flight to bangkok straight away went to hualomphong train station to purchase my train ticket to chiang mai . I was told by the attendant that he recommend the 1935hrs  train as it was more comfortable and most of the tourist prefer this train . True enough , 95% of the passengger was mat salleh .

 

The train ride was smooth and quite relaxing actually . The rocking motion of the train act as a lullaby and i feel as if i'm in a baby crib. The most amazing part of the trip is when the train run alongside fast rapids , i was told by the train conductor that giant mahseer is abundant in this area and it's a popular fishing area for locals.The train traverse vast area of paddy fields,almost hours and hours of paddy field.I was told initially that the train journey will took 13 hours but it end out taking 16 hours.

 

All in all travelling via train in thailand is very safe and i would recommend it to everybody to try it at least once.

Restoran Ratha , kari kepala ikan Raub

Good things will only come to people who search for it. Well this is very true for my case when i drove 2 hours to sample the famous Raub fish head curry.Strange enough , i got to know about this place from a blogger friend of mine who is a 'mat salleh' and after googling around this place is actually quite famous .The sultan of pahang frequented this place and it's almost a sure indication that this place must be very special.

We opted the longer route to raub via fraser hill and after 2.5 hours of driving we reach the small town of raub.In comparison Raub is just a small town , as big as sg buloh and you can see the restaurant clearly on your left as you enter the town from bentong direction.

The restaurant is quite small but the abundance of newspaper clippings and photos of VVIP around the shop is a clear indication of something special.

We ordered the fish head curry (around rm 45 ) and true enough it's just out of this world.The gravy is very thick with a strong curry and coconut milk flavour.Everything is in proportion , the amount of spice , coconut , fish flavour and etc. I had been to alot of famous places claiming to serve the best curry but nothing come close to this place.the whole family really enjoy the curry and i could see my family including myself slurping the gravy as it was a chicken soup.I gave a double thumbs up for this place , infact i had already been there twice in a span of 1 month . he he.

It's Polling Day

The 13th General election could be term as the mother of all general election.I casted my vote at one of the secondary school in Sg Buloh , the voting process went on smoothly with nil hooligan unlike the previous general election.Hopefully everything went on well and by midnight we should be able to get the results. Jr is very curious and follow me into the polling station .She also insisted to be mark with indelible ink as a proof that she had voted. At home she bragged about how she had voted in the general election to her atok and opah.

xplorer admitted to hospital

i had been admitted due to denggue .at present i feel very week body temperature is at 40'c and platlet level at 80 . Being confined in a small place is a psycological challenged by itself. As people who know me would say "budak yang tak reti duduk diam".hopefully i would make a fast recovery.

UPDATE 1
i had been admitted to ICU because platelet level is dangerously low at 10.

UPDATE 2
ICU only one day.Platelet had improve to 36.requested for an early discharge to do home care as i was feeling very tense in the hospital.

Rabbit Fun Land , Semenyih

Honestly this place was a let down in term of expectation . In term of variety of animal its not there . Most of the animal that's available is mostly common and the type of activity that you could do here is also limited . I've been to numerous rabbit farm across malaysia and i had seen better.This place should provide a lot more educational info  like various stages of rabbit developement and etc . This is the first and the last for me .
